Our
Story

Our Friendship and Our Family

We met at Mississippi State and our friendship was carried back to our hometown until we "finally" decided to begin dating. Some might have called it a tumultuous time, others may call one of us dramatic for even using that word. At our rehearsal dinner, we may or may not have heard our bridal party refer to us as enemies at one point in our pre- dating relationship. The next day those once-enemies were married. Garrett began his career post undergrad in Physical Therapy as a PTA. Cindy spent her time having children until one day she had the notion to work and to keep having more children. After three years of Cindy being a Realtor, Garrett decided he wanted to make a shift into the industry. He entered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with NOLA Lending and was with them from 2020 until 2023. In 2023, Garrett joined Cindy at Hometown Property Group as a licensed Realtor. Through the years and career changes, we now have five precious children. Read more about our individual journeys in real estate.

Cindy

Born and (mostly) raised in the Metro area, I truly call this place home. I am thankful to live in the beautiful state of Mississippi and proud to call Jackson home. After college (where I studied History and Political Science) I moved back to Jackson. I had the most fun job working with a dear woman on a small scale family farm as a personal assistant and farm hand. Two years later, I received a call to a ministry position in Birmingham, AL and against every whim to move away, I turned it down and ended up dating Garrett 5 months later and married 11 months later. After our first two years of marriage and two children, I decided to get my Real Estate License. I don't remember the details that led up to it, but I am sure it had something to do with possibly making all my scrolling of real estate apps productive. I began taking the classes with a newborn and 6 months later took my licensing test pregnant with a baby girl. Those first few clients who trusted me, took a chance on a new agent and mom of two who was also expecting a baby girl. I was honored. Humbled. Learning to serve my clients while also serving my family has been a balancing act that I may never master, but I will always cherish. I love processing with my clients, I love piecing together the puzzle pieces of matching their budget, with their needs and with their lifestyles. I love helping them envision potential while sometimes having to help them consider their realities. I work hard for my clients and hope at the end of their transaction, they know they had someone who cares and will go to bat for them in their corner. I love working with first time home buyers to luxury clients. All of you matter and I hope to get you settled into a place to call HOME.

Garrett

I am a lifelong Jackson resident, converted State fan and self-made DIYer. I feel in love with a girl who cares more about others than herself, lights up a room with her smile and is the best mother any father or child can dream of…her children call her blessed. I fell in love with houses and real estate back when I was a kid. I loved going to view houses with my parents when they were shopping for a new home and recall really loving the various exposure to construction work as a teenager and in early adult life. However, I never pursued anything in real estate and instead began my professional career in Physical Therapy. There I formed wonderful relationships and dabbled in renovations in my spare time. A shift in the Health Care Industry ultimately prompted my move to Mortgage Lending. I spent the last number of years as a Mortgage Loan Officer and have done some bigger home renovations along the way. For three years I fought the desire to get my Real Estate License. I loved working with my clients on the financing side and highly value the knowledge that came with it, but I am excited to finally come alongside Cindy to serve clients with our differing yet united skillsets! With my lending experience, knowledge of the market at large, renovation skills and access to numerous trades I hope to be a valuable asset to anyone looking to buy or sell in their local area.
